Oxy Summary
Oxy is the well known anti-acne brand produced by personal care giant The Mentholatum Company. As an umbrella label for many products in the acne fighting line Oxy has become a household name and most teens are familiar with their Pad and Cream products. New products are being developed and added every day including the new acne fighting shave and body wash as well as Chill Factor which adds menthol for a cool feeling to your cleansing routine. Of all these products, Oxy Max remains one of the most popular multi-step systems with three steps and ingredients such as salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. Other choices include Sensitive, Blackhead Cleansing Pads and a bar soap which is 0.5% salicylic acid.
Oxy’s website features tips for caring for your skin, the truth about acne myths and other cool facts. It did not however have any information about clinical trials, testimonials or pictures.

What We Think
Oxy is practically a household name, especially for families with teenage children. The brand appeals to the younger audience who are savvier than the website would suggest that they are. To remain competitive, Oxy must boost the octane in their web presence and impart real information that the target audience is looking for. Some pictures showing before and after would be a great way to start. Oxy would do well playing up the social networking sites as well, advertising dollars are best spent on those rather than flashy television ads that are declining in usefulness.
